Which Ortho Pedal™ is Right for You?
Recreation Series Narrow Model
This model fits cranks from 5/8" wide to 1-1/8" wide. This typically applies to steel cranks and "older style" aluminum cranks and Peloton-style cycles.
Recreation Series
Wide Model
This model fits cranks over 1-1/8" wide to 1-3/4" wide. This typically applies to "new style" aluminum cranks and electric bikes .
Determine Which Size You Will Need
Measure width of pedal threads by removing the pedal and placing wrench over pedal threads. It will fit 1/2" wrench or 9/16" wrench. This will determine the Ortho Pedal® bolts that will fit your bike.
Typically 1/2" used on older steel cranks and some exercise bikes.
Typically 9/16" (the most common) used on most aluminum cranks.
(Pedal not included. You will need to purchase a 9/16 pedal in order to accommodate the Ortho Pedal bolt, measuring 1/2”.)
