Our History
The founder of the company, Bill Moseley, was left with very little range of motion, after multiple knee surgeries, (including a knee replacement), along with having Arthrofibrosis of the same knee. He was no longer able to participate in his favorite sport…bicycling.
That’s what led him to work with an inventor and manufacturer to develop a device, which would allow him to pedal his bicycle once again, even with his limited range of motion. When Bill tested the first set of adaptive pedals for himself, words could not describe the feelings he felt when he was able to ride his bike for the first time since his knee replacement.
Bill has since logged many enjoyable miles with his wife; children; and grandchildren. His desire to share this life-changing device with as many people as possible, providing them with the same bicycling opportunities he had been blessed to enjoy, is now Ortho Pedal LLC.
The Moseley family has been dedicated to the Ortho Pedal for over a decade, passing knowledge and expertise to the next generation. Bill’s daughter, Lauren, is now the owner of the company, and is happy to assist customers with installation, or any other questions they may have regarding the Ortho Pedal.
Our Vision
Our vision is to help people get back on their bikes and enjoy the sport we have all loved since childhood. As we get older, our bodies may change, but that just means we have to change the way we do things. The Ortho Pedal can provide the opportunity for knee rehabilitation so that you can experience "life on the bike" all over again.
